jeanette studied at Hornsey College of Art, Walthamstow School of Art, the Royal Academy Schools and Goldsmiths College (University of London).
following employment in the publications department of The Royal Academy of Arts, jeanette applied her creative skills and knowledge to an interval of trading in local second-hand markets, which proved to be a shared resource and inspiration.
intention
my work is an exploration of everyday occurrence, a travelogue of time, taking in seasonal change, mood and incident. Individual works may be derived from observations, memories or chance remarks, finding expression through mark-making and colour. Notes and jottings, whether written or visual serve as an aide-mémoire, a repository from which to retrieve the elements of picture-making.
