my work is an investigation into the nature of drawing and painting. for me this investigation is centred on questions about how a physical medium can reflect and embody states of mind, memories and suppositions. in order to do this I have reduced my practice to the application of colour in loosely defined grids. whilst this reduction of methods and devices produces a form of abstraction, i treat all of my work as representational.
